Activity 1: Moana
In late 2016, the movie Moana was released by Disney. It’s a beautiful story about a young Polynesian girl from the fictional island of Motunui, who goes on a big adventure.

Moana is a Polynesian girl that gets Maui shapeshifter demigod of the wind and sea hero of men help her return the heart of Te Fiti. Te Fiti is a god that has the power to create life.
The main characters in the movie are Moana, Maui and Te Fiti.
They go to a big Crab to receive Maui hook so he can shapeshift into any animal. Then they go to give the heart of Te Fiti to her.

Hey there Samuel, thanks for sharing your thoughts on Moana and writing a brief summary of the movie. I have seen it once and I really enjoyed it. I thought it was cool how the audience learned a bit about Maui legends. The songs were great too! My class last year would beg me to play the Moana soundtrack while they were working.
