I am posting this video to show you what this man uses his curiosity to become a Game Designer.
I know that curiosity is a strong feeling to know or learn something new

Today I am going to show you what I'm most curious about. I am curious about burning fat because I really want to know what makes us fat and how to burn it.

What is Lockdown

In a paragraph, explain the process of Lockdown in our school
Lockdown is a process that we follow when a crazy guy is running on the field with a knife or a gun or something bad is happening. During a lockdown, we hear a bell go on and off 3 or more times and we stay calm, we have to get up quietly get under the table and lie on our stomach and stay there for about 5 to 10 minutes. If your playing outside and you hear the bell you have to go to the nearest building get down on your stomach and get in the middle of the room and wait there until someone comes and knock on the door to let you know that the lockdown is done.

  1. Lock all the doors
  2. Get down on your stomach
  3. Get in the middle of the room on your stomach
  4. Wai in silence for the SLT to knock on the door to make we are safe

Tonga hit by the worst storm in 60 years

My Response -
I think that the cyclone that happened in Tonga was such a sad tragedy,
I hope nobody got hurt because a lot of people's houses were blown away.
I just hope that everybody made it.

TASK - Read the gospel for the first Sunday of Lent and write a reflection.

* I learnt in the Gospel that doesn’t let your left hand know what your right hand is doing so your giving may be in secret, then your father who sees what is done in secret will reward you.

* I learnt that when you pray go into your room & pray to your father who is unseen & when the father sees what is done in secret, He will reward you.

* I learnt when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others.

The Welcome of the Statue of Mary

On a beautiful sunny day we went to the church to see the statue of Mary because the nuns brought her to New Zealand after getting blessed from Pope Francis and after the nuns were telling us about their journey to New Zealand, the whole school did the Rosary, every class took a turn saying the Rosary even the teachers, we all said the rosary nice and quickly.

I was inspired by the nuns because they told us what CARE stands for, and they told us to do the rosary everyday and from that day I was doing the rosary every night before I went to bed because it is the right time for me to do it because my family is always playing music and they are always loud.

After that the nuns told us that the statue is going to be there until 2 o’clock and my class went there 10 minutes before they were taking to take our time to be silent.

Friday, 9 February 2018

Hi everyone it is nice to be back to school this year. This year I would be focusing on Reading and Writing because last year I did really really bad and I want to improve so that I could get into a good college. This year I will be posting a lot more because I did a small amount of blogging last year because I really didn't want to blog.

Activity 2: Flying Cars

Let’s imagine that you’ve just learned to drive, and your family has decided to buy you a brand new car. You are allowed to choose from any of the following designs:

Red-Cadillac-750x443.jpghummer.pngflying car (2).jpg

On your blog please tell us which of the three cars you would choose and why.

I would get the white car because whenever we want to go to our family in Tonga and help them we could just fly there and we can take anywhere.

Day 5: Looking into the Future

Activity 1: Your Future Self
It may be hard to imagine, but one day you will graduate from high school and it will be time to decide what to do next. You may want to study at university, become an apprentice, go to training college, travel, or start working. There are so many options!

Take a minute to think about your future. What would you like to do when you finish school? Would you like to work in a specific job? Would you like to study at university? What would you study? Maybe you’d even like to move overseas. Share your thoughts and ideas on your blog site. There are no wrong answers!

I would like to study at university so I could get the great job I can work at. I would work as a technology person cause I'm really into computers and how they make games and that stuff. I would maybe work with that for about 3 years then go with my family overseas so we can travel around the world.

Activity 2: Country Calendar

Did you know that the longest running television show in New Zealand history is a programme called ‘Country Calendar’? It started on 6 March 1966 and has been running ever since. The programme includes stories of everyday New Zealanders, many of whom are farmers.

Watch this short clip from Country Calendar. What do you think would be the most interesting and/or challenging things about being a farmer? Would you would like to be a farmer when you are older. Why/why not? Give us, at least, two reasons to support your answer.

I think the hardest thing about being a farmer would be having to start your day early and ending it late.

I would not like to be a farmer when I grow up because:

- I think planting crops, for me would be very difficult because every other plant i've tried to have died

Sorry I don't have any other more reasons.

Day 4: Contemporary Entertainment

Activity 1: Moana

In late 2016, the movie Moana was released by Disney. It’s a beautiful story about a young Polynesian girl from the fictional island of Motunui, who goes on a big adventure.

Watch the trailer for Moana and then write a summary of the movie on your blog. If you’ve seen the movie, you can include your favorite part! Tell us as much as you can about the movie. What is it about? Who are the main characters in the movie? What do they do in the movie? Where do they go?

Moana is a Polynesian girl that gets Maui shapeshifter demigod of the wind and sea hero of men help her return the heart of Te Fiti. Te Fiti is a god that has the power to create life.

The main characters in the movie are Moana, Maui and Te Fiti.

They go to a big Crab to receive Maui hook so he can shapeshift into any animal. Then they go to give the heart of Te Fiti to her.

Activity 2: Migration

Over the past few decades, there has been a huge rise in the number of people coming to New Zealand to live and/or travel. I was one of those people! In fact, I moved with my family to New Zealand in 2010 and I am so glad that I did. It’s a pretty amazing place to call home! At the moment I live about 10 minutes from three stunning beaches and a beautiful national park.

Speaking of home, where do you live? On your blog, please post a picture of your hometown and provide a list of three things that tourists, like us, could do if we came to visit. What do you like most about your hometown? (Remember the guidelines for being Cybersmart, and never post your address online).

Everyone 55a Tripoli Rd, Panmure is not my address it is just an image from google.

*You could go to the Mt Wellington mountain and see the great view from up there.

*You could go the Panmure town center and go shopping because we have a lot of stores there for you to go to and buy stuff you want.

*You could go to the Panmure basin and go for a walk around this big lake.

Day 3: Social Systems

Activity 1: Mixed-Member Proportional (MMP)

In 1996, New Zealand adopted the MMP voting system. In September of 2017 we had a national election. Everyone in New Zealand, over the age of 18, was invited to vote for who they wanted to form the next government in New Zealand. The race was really close and in the end, three different political parties (Labour, New Zealand First and the Green Party), came together to form the new government. It is called a ‘coalition government’ because it includes different people from different political parties.

Imagine that you had to form a coalition government with two other people.  Who would you choose to partner with? Why?

I would form a calition with my friend, Ewan, and my other friend, Viane. Ewan would be a good partner because he is very creative with his things and kinda funny. He would always have a idea for everything. Viane would be a good partner because he is very thoughtful and he likes working with me because i'm very smart with my things.

Activity 2: Sporting Heroes

In 2015, a kiwi golfer named Lydia Ko became the youngest woman in the world to reach the #1 ranking.  She was only 17 years old. Many people from here in New Zealand and overseas really admire her and think of her as a modern-day sporting hero. Who is your sporting hero? They can be a famous athlete, or even a member of your family or community. It’s completely up to you.

On your blog tell us about your sporting hero. Who are they? Why are they a hero? Include a photo of them in your blog post.

My Sporting hero is Jason Taumalolo. Jason Taumalolo is a famous rugby player and a very good rugby player. He is my hero because he taught me how to tackle better, I sucked at tackling and let the other team get a try and I came home and started watching his video and it inspired me to tackle my friends while we play rugby.

Day 2: A Decade of Sport

Activity 1: Chasing Great
Over the past 17 years New Zealand has experienced a number of sporting highlights, perhaps none larger than the back-to-back Rugby World Cup victories in 2011 and 2015. In both competitions our national rugby team, the All Blacks, was captained by a man named Richie McCaw. He is arguably one of the best rugby players of all time. A movie called Chasing Great was recently created to document his incredible rugby career.

Please watch the trailer for Chasing Great and read about Richie McCaw online. On your blog tell us three things that you learned about Richie that you did not know beforehand. What else would you like to know about Richie?

Three Things that I Learned about Richie that I did not know Beforehand-

*He became the first All Black to reach 100 Tests in 2011 and by the end of the 2014 season, he had played 137 Tests

*He had an outstanding 2003 Rugby World Cup and won the New Zealand player of the year award at the 2003

*He was the most capped All Blacks ever

What else would you like to know about Richie?

*How long has Richie Mccaw been playing Rugby.

Activity 2: Lord of the Rings

Arguably one of the most famous movie trilogies of all time, The Lord of the Rings, was filmed in New Zealand. All three movies were directed by a New Zealander named Peter Jackson. The first movie was released in 2001, the second in 2002 and the third in 2003. The movies cost an estimated $300 million to produce!

Imagine that instead of spending the money on the movies, Peter Jackson decided to give all of this money to you. Lucky you! On your blog, tell us what you would do with $300 million dollars. How would you spend it? It is a lot of money so please think carefully about it and spend it wisely

I would spend this money wisely, but I don't know what to spend it on. All I want to buy is a big house and 5 cars and give money to my family. Then give the rest to the people in need.
