This short film is about a little girl who wants to be a chef in the future. Unfortunately, her Grandpa disagrees with her opinion to the future. The reason behind this was that she had a twin that did not make it out onto this earth. So after all only males are allowed to ascend to chiefdom in tribe of New Zealand

Thank you for sharing your thoughts on the movie Whale rider. It has been a while since I last saw the movie, although the trailers linked above has refreshed ideas. I love the way you described key events that highlighted your understanding of the movie. Although words may sound the same they also have different spelling. I am happy to see you attempted to spell chef at the beginning which is correctly known as chief.
